A wholesale vape quotation should not use an Incoterms\u00ae abbreviation by itself.<\/strong> The buyer should confirm the selected rule, the exact named place or port, the Incoterms\u00ae 2020 version, transport mode, importer\/exporter roles, clearance responsibilities, included charges, insurance, transfer of risk and the documents each party must provide.<\/p>\n

Incoterms\u00ae rules allocate specified delivery tasks, costs and risks between seller and buyer. They do not by themselves determine product legality, transfer of title, payment terms, contract remedies, tax registration, customs classification or whether a particular vape SKU may be imported or sold. This page is a procurement question list, not legal, tax or customs advice.<\/p>\n

Questions to answer before accepting a delivery term<\/h2>\n

  1. Which Incoterms\u00ae rule and edition apply?<\/strong> Write the rule, named place and \u201cIncoterms\u00ae 2020\u201d in the quotation and contract.<\/li>\n
  2. What is the precise named place?<\/strong> A city, country or \u201cEU warehouse\u201d label is often too broad. Identify the terminal, warehouse, port or address and the delivery point within it.<\/li>\n
  3. Who contracts each stage of carriage?<\/strong> Record pickup, origin handling, main carriage, transit handling and destination delivery separately.<\/li>\n
  4. Where does risk transfer?<\/strong> Do not assume the party paying freight holds the risk for the same distance. Confirm the rule’s delivery point and the practical evidence of delivery.<\/li>\n
  5. Who performs export and import clearance?<\/strong> Confirm the exporter, importer of record, declarations, licences\/registrations and broker instructions.<\/li>\n
  6. Which charges are included?<\/strong> Ask for a written list covering terminal handling, security\/fuel surcharges, storage, examination, brokerage, duty, tax, final delivery and unloading.<\/li>\n
  7. Is insurance required or offered?<\/strong> Record the insured party, value, scope, exclusions, claim process and evidence. Do not treat \u201cinsured shipping\u201d as a complete answer.<\/li>\n
  8. Which transport documents will be issued?<\/strong> Align invoice, packing list, carriage document, export evidence, delivery evidence and batch records with the exact shipment.<\/li>\n
  9. What happens if the route changes?<\/strong> A change in origin, warehouse, carrier or named place can change cost, timing and responsibilities. Require written approval before substitution.<\/li>\n
  10. Which obligations remain outside Incoterms\u00ae?<\/strong> Put payment, title, inspection, acceptance, product evidence, compliance warranties, delay remedies and dispute terms elsewhere in the contract.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    DDP<\/td>\nCan the seller lawfully and operationally perform the stated import obligations in the destination?<\/td>\nThe abbreviation may be used casually without a workable importer\/tax structure.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    FOB \/ CFR \/ CIF<\/td>\nIs the movement genuinely port-to-port by sea or inland waterway, and which port is named?<\/td>\nSea-only rules can be used incorrectly for containerized multimodal or courier shipments.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
